The story is about a boy, who started to copy an unwanted hobby from other guy and the situations he faced because of that bad hobby.

 

The main character of this story is Rohit, who is a high school student. He is a fair, tall and thin boy. He has a friend called kishore, who is dark, tall and thin boy. Both of them are neighbours and both of them are good friends. Rohit and kishore are good in studies. They usually get good marks in the exams. They had completed their 9th grade.

They had good fun during summer holidays. After the holidays, the school had reopened and as usual they were walking to school. In the middle of the way, they had met a new student. His name is james. His father is a rich person. James is not at all an ambitious boy. He always finds time to play video games, watching tv etc. Due to this bad hobby, he got less marks in his previous grade. So, his father had decided to change his school. So, james joined the same school where rohit and kishore are studying.

 

Rohit and kishore invited him to walk with them. But james refused and he walked alone to the school.

Both rohit and kishore had tried to make him a friend of them. But james doesn't like any of his classmates.

One day, at evening time, he has came to the park with his laptop. Rohit and kishore were playing cricket there with their friends. They invited james to join the game. But as usual he refused and started playing shooting video games. Rohit had got excited about that video game which was playing by james. So, he joined james to play the game. But this time, james let rohit to play the video game. Rohit had loved the game and played the game and they became good friends. From that time, Rohit and james always walk together discussing about the video games. Slowly, rohit also addicted to video games like james. And it has become as a hobby to rohit like james. Rohit was acting like a non-interested guy in studies. His teachers also complained his parents about his situation. His parents tried to advice him. But rohit didn't changed.He compelled his parents to buy him a brand new laptop and accessories for playing video games. His parents didn't buy him those laptop and other accessories. So, he asked james to give his old laptop. James gave his old laptop to rohit. His parents didn't even know about this. He hides laptop in his room and he play the video games during night time. His parents were worried about him. They sent him to tuition for extra classes. But he acts like going to tuition, but the truth was he play the video games at the park. He learned to tell lies. Slowly, his behaviour also changed. His lost respect to his parents and teachers. His classmates also started hating him because of his over acting and gangster playing with james in the school. He also had got some eye problems. So, he had started wearing spectacles. Even though he didn't stop his bad hobby of playing video games.

 

James and rohit had decided to join video gaming tournaments. But they had to pay some money to register for the competitions. James got the money from his dad. But rohit knows that he didn't get money from his father. So, he decided to steal money from his father. And he stole for two times. But for third time, he had caught by his father. His father had beaten him and worried about his son.

From that time, he had stopped to steal money and joining video gaming competitions. But he didn't stop playing g video games.

 

Rohit also had removed from the school cricket team because of his absence in practice sessions. Kishore was very sad about his friend rohit. He was not getting a chance to talk with rohit He understood that his friend is going in wrong direction. So, he tried to talk with rohit about this bad hobby. But rohit got angry and he acts like an enemy to kishore. Kishore was not understanding that why rohit was doing like this.

Finally, the annual examinations had arrived. Kishore was ready for the exams. But rohit was worried about the exams. Because, he even didn't touch his books to study. He also, got less marks in the class tests. So, those marks can reflect in final results. At that time, rohit went to james's house to talk about this. But james was not at all worried about the exams. James said that his father had got transferred to other location which is far away from the school. So, he was not going to write the exams in that school. And also, his father can arrange other ways to pass his son in the exams eventhough james is not interested in studies. By listening this, rohit became tensed and became upset. At that time he tried to reach out kishore for the help. Kishore advices him to stop that bad hobby of playing video games at full time. Kishore gave his books to help rohit to study. Rohit had understood about his mistakes and tried to study in remaining days before the exam. Kishore helped him giving confidence. Rohit tried his best in that remaining days.

Finally, the exams were completed and after few days, the results came out. Kishore had got good marks. But rohit had got only average marks. He felt upset. Kishore, helped him to forget about his marks and gave him some good advices. From, that rohit understands the consequences that will happen by playing video games at full time and not studying.
