Update your FICA details to continue enjoying the full benefits of your account Dear Customer We dedicate ourselves to ensure that your banking information remains safe and secure. That's why we urge you to update your FICA status within 3 days. If your details are not verified, you will be unable to transact or use your account – resulting in your inconvenience and frustration. Why it is important to keep your personal details updated As per the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA), all banking customers are required to have their personal details updated periodically and this may require customers to reconfirm information or provide additional documents as part of this process. This is to gather the correct information about you, to ensure your safe and secure banking. What is needed from you To comply with the FICA requirements and prevent any locks or restrictions being placed on your account, we require you to confirm that your occupation, occupation status and source of income remain unchanged, or to provide us with your updated information. We also require: • A copy of your green bar-coded ID or the front and back of your smart ID card. You need to provide us with the latest document issued by the Department of Home Affairs. For example, if your smart ID card is the latest document, please use your smart ID card and not your green bar-coded ID. • Proof of residential address (not older than three months). Attest now, it's quick and easy! For your convenience, you can simply log in to Absa Online or the Banking App if you are digitally active (using your login details). Tap on your FICA notification, click Update details and follow the prompts to confirm your details. You can also contact your nearest branch to make an appointment. Please ignore if you have already submitted your documents. We appreciate your cooperation. Please note: The following file types can be uploaded: GIF, JPEG, PDF, PNG and, TIFF. The maximum file size that you can upload is 2MB. If your file does not adhere to the above rules, it will not be accepted for verification. Selfies are also not allowed for verification.
